Although his involvement with a variety of design projects meant that he had little time to devote to his interest until now he hopes to make up for lost time.Īs for why he chose to enter the limited edition release market, Arlin Jordin Washington's reply was that he wanted to offer the sneaker enthusiasts and collectors a viable and less expensive (although equally good in terms of quality and design) option to limited supply editions periodically unleashed on the market by leading global shoe & apparel brands.

Not a destination trail yet as the unpaved surface needs improvement, but certainly a great day trip and one I would repeat in the future.Shoe designer from Arlin Washington dropping next month. There is a lot of history and scenic things to see that I might have otherwise missed had I hit my distance goal (50) sooner. Although my plans had been to ride further west until the trail became too bumpy even on my hybrid, adventuring over to Fallen Timbers and the park more than made up for my disappointment.

Then back up to Keener Park- about 52 miles. Down the hill to the trails in the Side Cut Metropark along the muddy Maumee River. Turned back and proceeded past Keener Park and past south fork to Wabash Cannonball Connector trail which winds past mall and over freeway to Fallen Timbers monument area.

Turned west when rejoined the northern leg and rode thru pavement end, before trying to go further about a mile over coarsely crushed stone surface and grass. Turned north on CR1 for 4.5 mi and only had 4 cars pass me on a Saturday late morning. Rode east until turn on southern leg, went to Fulton-Lucas Rd (CR1) where the pavement ended. Parked at Keener Park, which has a lot of parking, restrooms and water. It’s hard to go anywhere else other than this Metro Park trail because it’s easily the best trail around. I’ve tried other trails like Hines Drive but found the section I did to be loud from traffic (you’re right next to the road the whole time) and boring (no varied terrain or paths through nature). The bike repair stations are an amazing touch to these great trails. Whoever thought out the trails, details, and accessories did an awesome job. For as popular and well maintained these parks are, the bike paths are never crowded which is awesome. The paths are all smooth and very well maintained from branches, leaves, and other debris.

All 4 parks have plenty of bathrooms, water fountains, map stations, and awesome bike racks for pumping up your tires or doing repairs with all the necessary tools included. It easily beats other trails around me.ģ Metro Parks are connected directly by this trail and the fourth (Lake Eerie Metro) is connected via a long connecting trail I haven’t done yet but am excited to do one day. This was the first place I took my first “real” bike on and I’ve been regularly coming back since. These trails are quiet, secluded, and a ton of fun. It’s a great big park and the paths are varied with trips through fields and meadows, through wooded “tunnels”, it travels along the river, and has plenty of hills to vary the terrain. I’ve been jogging and biking Lower Huron Metro Park most of my teens and twenties.
